Kelesha Antoine Takes Caribbean Refereeing Expertise to the FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda — The Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) proudly congratulates its Head of Refereeing, Kelesha Antoine, on her latest international appointment at the FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup in Poland.

Antoine has travelled to Poland to serve as a FIFA Referee Fitness Instructor at the prestigious tournament, which runs from September 5 to 27, 2026.

Her appointment represents another significant milestone in a growing international refereeing career and highlights the continued contribution of Antigua and Barbuda to the development of football officiating at the regional and global levels.

Antoine’s journey to Poland came directly from the CFU U14 Challenge Series, where she played an important role beyond the field of play, supporting the competition as an administrator and instructor within the Caribbean Football Union’s referee development programme.

Her ability to contribute across multiple areas of referee development reflects the breadth of her experience and her commitment to strengthening the next generation of match officials throughout the Caribbean.

As a member of both the Concacaf Referee Committee and the CFU Referee Committee, Antoine continues to play an influential role in shaping referee development across the region. Her work encompasses fitness, education, administration and technical development, helping to raise standards and create greater opportunities for officials throughout Caribbean football.

Her latest FIFA appointment is therefore not only a personal achievement, but also a proud moment for Antigua and Barbuda and the wider Caribbean football community.

From supporting young referees at regional competitions to contributing to the world stage at a FIFA tournament, Kelesha Antoine continues to demonstrate that Caribbean refereeing belongs on the global stage.
